Melanie Rodriguez and Nyack Artist's Collective

Our figure drawing program was co-hosted with me for several years with Melanie Rodriguez. She organized us, and her warm welcoming energy and huge talent set a tone that helped make the group what it is today. On a totally separate note, there is a new artist's group that has formed in Nyack, to help promote arts in the community and a forum for fine artists who want to explore and promote their own work. They are creating a 'First Fridays' in Nyack and meet monthly. For more information see their facebook page at:

and contact Tracy K-A if interested. I have gone and am totally impressed, and am joining. They inform you of all the opportunities for artists and are actively creating ways in which to get our art out there and seen. There will be two shows in the summer of the group's work. It is $25 per year, but people are welcome to come to a meeting and explore the group before committing.:
